Recently, the construction site of the Hailaite Food Production Project in the Dongpu Park of Lianjiang Economic Development Zone has been bustling with tower cranes and the hum of machinery. “Currently, 70% of the main construction is complete,” said project leader Zhuang Qingji. The project is expected to be finished and handed over by the end of this year.
It is reported that the total investment for the project is approximately 308 million yuan, aiming to create a comprehensive food enterprise that integrates abalone processing, cold chain logistics, and sales. Once operational, the project is expected to process 10,000 tons of seafood annually, generating an annual output value of up to 200 million yuan.
The Longfu Food Processing Project in the park is also racing to meet its timeline. “We expect to finish the roofing of Factory Building No. 1 and the cold storage by October, ensuring the project is completed and ready for acceptance by the end of January next year,” said Lin Huafeng, the on-site construction manager.
With a total investment of 125 million yuan, the project will feature two fruit and vegetable production lines alongside four seafood processing lines. It is expected to process 9,000 tons of vegetables and 20,000 tons of seafood annually, with cold storage capable of holding about 80,000 tons of agricultural products. Upon completion, the products will be exported to Southeast Asian countries like Malaysia, helping Fuzhou’s agricultural products reach international markets.
At this year’s Fisheries Expo, Fuzhou Baiyang Seafood Co., Ltd. caught attention with its Thousand-Person Fish Ball Hotpot and Dictyophora series. “As soon as our Dictyophora Yuyan and Dictyophora Fuguiyan were launched, they generated a strong response. The daily production ranges from 5 to 10 tons, with annual sales expected to reach over 50 million yuan,” said Gao Xiangdeng, Vice Chairman of Fuzhou Baiyang Seafood Co., Ltd. He also mentioned that the Dictyophora series has become a nationwide bestseller.
“Currently, the company has developed four main product lines: shrimp paste series, Dictyophora series, ready-to-eat meals, and fish paste products. With over 100 new products launched, these items are available in major supermarkets and online platforms such as Freshippo, RT-Mart, and Yonghui Superstores. They are also exported to countries like Canada and the United States, with annual export sales exceeding 10 million yuan,” said Gao Xiangdeng.
