“Minhou Cai Ya Hao” Welcomes Harvest Season Highland Vegetables Delivered Directly to Fuzhou’s Dining Tables
Farmers celebrated the joy of a bountiful harvest.
Recently, the Jiuhao Canteen Planting Base in Xuefeng Village, Dahu Township, Minhou County, has entered its harvest season. Baskets of fresh vegetables are washed, packaged, and delivered directly to stores in downtown Fuzhou, bringing the “gift of the mountains” to the tables of local residents.
“We have planted 270 mu of highland vegetables, covering over 10 varieties, including white radish, Chinese cabbage, and Huang Xin Bai (a kind of cabbage). Recently, we’ve enjoyed a bumper harvest of white radish and Chinese cabbage, with daily yields surpassing 5,000 kilograms,” said Liang Qijiang, the legal representative of Fujian Jiuhao Catering Management Co., Ltd. He explained that, leveraging the natural advantages of Xuefeng Village’s high altitude and large day-night temperature differences, the base uses low-pesticide farming techniques. White radishes are grown with organic fertilizers like chicken and duck manure, while other vegetables are protected through eco-friendly pest and disease control methods to minimize chemical pesticide use.
To ensure the quality of the vegetables, the base has implemented a fully transparent management system throughout the entire process. Seventeen high-definition cameras provide round-the-clock monitoring, with real-time updates sent directly to the Jiuhao Canteen headquarters. Consumers can watch the vegetable cultivation process live through in-store screens. Additionally, by leveraging the modern storage facility at Huawei Logistics Park in Cangshan District, the base has established an integrated supply chain system covering “harvesting—sorting—packaging—delivery,” ensuring the vegetables remain fresh throughout the process and are delivered to customers fresh.
According to the information, these bountiful vegetables are all under the “Minhou Cai Ya Hao” brand. Through standardized cultivation and quality control, the brand is steadily gaining recognition as a regional public brand. Liang Qijiang stated that with the upcoming completion of refrigerated storage and greenhouse facilities, they will further expand the planting scale and drive more farmers to get involved.
