Recently, the over 200-mu tomato base in the modern agricultural industrial park of Nanhua Village, Jiangjing Town, Fuqing City, has entered its peak fruiting season.

At the tomato cultivation base in the Modern Agricultural Industrial Park in Nanhua Village, clusters of ripe, plump tomatoes dangle like red lanterns amid the lush green leaves. Zhou Tingdeng, head of the company, noted that the tomatoes grown here are of the “Pink” variety, introduced from Cangnan, Zhejiang. Renowned for their sweet, sandy flavor, they are highly popular in the market. The harvesting season is expected to last until the end of April.

“This year, we’ve enhanced our field management, and the yield reaches about 7,000 kilograms per mu,” said Zhou Tingdeng. He added that their tomatoes are mainly sold to markets in Changzhou, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shouguang, Shandong. Thanks to Nanhua Village’s ideal soil and climate, the tomatoes here are renowned for their high yields and exceptional flavor, with bulk orders being dispatched to markets nationwide every day.

He Jiao, Deputy Director of Nanhua Village Committee, shared that in recent years, the village’s tomato industry has grown significantly, becoming a hallmark of rural revitalization. “Looking ahead, we plan to develop a complete industry chain that encompasses planting, processing, and sales, aiming to further improve product quality and expand the reach of Nanhua tomatoes,” he said.
