“Huawei Fu Banquet” Opens on June 28 Sixteen Signature Rural Dishes Revive Traditional Flavors

The banquet will feature 16 signature rural dishes from Fuzhou, bringing back the traditional flavors of the past. The event will kick off at 5:30 PM on June 28, and the ticket pre-sale is now open.

In 2024, the “A Bite of Fuzhou” platform launched its “Bowl Banquet” brand, successfully curating a series of events, including the “Harvest Bowl Banquet,” “Mindu Fu Banquet,” and “Fuzhou Snack Spring Banquet,” Providing a vibrant showcase of Fuzhou’s folk culture.
The “Huawei Fu Banquet” takes full advantage of the high-quality ingredients from the Huawei Xiyingli Agricultural Products Wholesale Market, offering a curated selection of signature rural dishes from across Fuzhou. Expertly prepared by Wang Jiatong, a renowned Fujian cuisine chef with 30 years of experience, the banquet promises a lively and flavorful dining experience.
The “Huawei Fu Banquet” offers a carefully selected menu of 16 signature rural dishes, blending seafood, mountain specialties, and authentic local flavors for a truly delightful experience.
The seafood dishes include Fuzhou Braised Prawns in Sesame Oil, Lianjiang Steamed Yellow Croaker with Scallion Oil, and Luoyuan Abalone Braised with Pork Trotters. The Fuzhou Braised Prawns in Sesame Oil are prepared using traditional techniques, where the shrimp veins are carefully removed and cooked in fragrant sesame oil, creating a delicate, aromatic flavor. The Lianjiang Steamed Yellow Croaker with Scallion Oil features wild yellow croaker from Lianjiang, simply seasoned to highlight its fresh, natural taste. The Luoyuan Abalone Braised with Pork Trotters brings together the best of both sea and mountain flavors, with tender, succulent abalone and rich, flavorful pork trotters.
The mountain dishes include Yongtai Wine-Scented Salted Chicken, Minqing Braised Duck with Rice Noodles, and Minhou Stir-fried Meat Pudding. The Yongtai Wine-Scented Salted Chicken is made with free-range, mountain-raised chickens, infused with a rich wine aroma and a savory, well-seasoned flavor. The Minqing Braised Duck with Rice Noodles is deeply nourishing, with a rich, full-bodied taste. The Minhou Stir-Fried Meat Pudding is crafted from mountain-grown sweet potato flour, giving it a distinctive and flavorful texture.
