On June 2,the three-day 2024 Fisheries Week and Seafood and Fisheries Expoended successfully. The exhibition site was crowded, and exhibitors and merchants from all walks of life were full of gains.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the strategic concept of “Fuzhou on the Seaand the 16th Seafood and Fisheries Expo. Being in the sea of Fuzhou, Fuzhou enterprises, as the beneficiaries of the expo, have consciously assumed the role of pioneerswhile demonstrating their own strength.

Starting from the “chip”-the kelp seedlings cultivated by Guanwu Seafood Company occupy half of the market in China, and the superior and high varieties such as abalone, eel and kelp from Fuzhou have gradually developed into national individual champions;

Advance into the sea-most of the 11 deep-sea aquaculture platforms launched in the Dinghai Bay of Lianjiang are from Lianjiang enterprises and are becoming “fitness”places for high value-added fish such as large yellow croaker and grouper;

According to statistics, in 2023, the total output of aquatic products in Fuzhou was 3.075 million tons, ranking second in the country; The fishery output value isRMB 69.185 billion, ranking first in the country. The more intuitive experience is that the per capita possession of aquatic products in Fuzhou has exceeded 360 kilograms, which is 1.7 times that of the whole province and 7 times that of the whole country. The seafood is delicious and cheap.

“Kid, which eel do you want?”On the 2nd, the last day of the event,in the booth of Tianma Science andTechnology Group, eels swimming freely in huge transparent fish tanks attracted groups of citizens.

At the expo, hundreds of live eels brought by Tianma Science andTechnology Group are undoubtedly one of the focuses of the exhibition, and passers-by can’t help but take a look.

From the special aquatic feed to the special aquatic circulating aquaculture mode of planting and breeding integration, to the prefabricated roasted eel, and then to the cultural manual of “The Chinese Comic Legend”... In Tianma Science andTechnology exhibition area independently set up by the enterprise, the exhibits are presented in the form of objects or exhibition boards, showing the whole industrial chain of the enterprise.

In a food processing factory ofTianma Science andTechnologyGroup, it only takes mature workers seven or eight seconds to slaughter an eel. The processing line of roasted eel is 116m long, and there are all kinds of processes.High-standard breeding and processing have enabled the roasted eel products to be sold to more than 70 countries and regions around the world.

At present, there are 161 aquatic seed farms, more than 13000 aquaculture enterprises and over 100 leading enterprises in aquatic industrialization in Fuzhou, including 9 at the national level and 61 at or above the provincial level. Mawei Mingcheng Strait Aquatic Products Trading Center is an important aquatic producttrading center in China, with more than 300 kinds of aquatic products traded on the market, with the highest annual trading volume exceeding 3 million tons.

Fuzhou is embracing the world with a more open attitude.

As the guest country of this expo, Honduras is a new comerwho just joined the group this year, and has gathered with old friends such as Russia and Ecuador. The China-Indonesia “Two Countries, TwinParks”exhibition area, which has been held for two years, once again joined hands with seven Indonesian fishing-related enterprises to find new opportunities.

Based on the international platform of China-Indonesia “Two Countries, TwinParks”, Clara Alverina, an Indonesian partner who participated in the exhibition for the first time, has natural trust in Fuzhou, and is more willing to make a transnational attempt in Fuzhou, China.

Therefore, cooperation has gone further. China SeaweedAssociation and Indonesian SeaweedAssociation, the first international key project at the expo, signed a memorandum of cooperation on seaweed industry on the spot, which took a solid step and opened up a new map of seaweed industry in the two countries.
