On March 7,the 7th “Impression of Fuzhou” competition for overseas Chinese teenagers was officially launched in Fuzhou. The competition was hosted by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Fuzhou Municipal People’sGovernment and Fuzhou Education Bureau, undertaken by Fuzhou Daily, and co-organized by Fuzhou Overseas Friendship Association and Overseas Chinese Affairs Offices of counties (cities).
The participants of this competition are mainly for overseas Chinese teenagers under the age of 22 and teenagers in China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. The contest consists of five groups: essay writing, painting, calligraphy, visual communication and “Impression of Fuzhou” brand LOGO design. Compared with previous years, the newly established “visual communication” group includes poster design, illustration, short video, animation and other types, which not only conforms to the artistic expression habits of contemporary teenagers, but also injects vitality into the digital age into traditional culture.
According to the organizer, this competition will run through the whole year, including three stages: collection of works, selection of works and publication of results. Among them, March to August this year is the collection stage of works; September to October is the selection stage of works; November to December is the result publicity stage. At that time, the finalists and award-winning works will be publicly displayed through the official website of the competition and overseas social platforms.
