The International Friendship Cities Cultural Festival Photo Exhibition Opens in Fuzhou
On the morning of December 6, the “Hello, Sister Cities!” 2024 International Friendship Cities Cultural Festival Photo Exhibition opened at the Strait International Conference & Exhibition Center. Through a collection of photos from Fuzhou’s sister cities, visitors were able to immerse themselves in the unique customs and cultures of different countries.
The exhibition showcased cityscapes from Tacoma, USA; Campinas, Brazil; Koszalin, Poland; Omsk, Russia; Siem Reap, Cambodia; Luang Prabang, Laos; Palmerston North, New Zealand; Dhankuta, Nepal; and Split, Croatia.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the official sister-city relationship between Fuzhou and Tacoma, Washington State, USA. Over the past 30 years, the two cities have sent and received hundreds of delegations, engaging in extensive exchanges in areas such as economy and trade, culture, education, and more.
On display were five photos, including Thea Foss Waterway in Downtown Tacoma, Chinese Reconciliation Park, University of Washington Tacoma Campus, Old Town Wharf, and Tacoma’s Sunrise, each capturing the stunning natural beauty of Tacoma as well as its unique cultural heritage.
This exhibition, with its exquisite craftsmanship and rich content, provides a comprehensive and multi-faceted introduction to Fuzhou’s key international sister cities. It offers a vivid snapshot of the development of Fuzhou’s global connections, highlighting the deep friendship and accomplishments in international exchanges with its sister cities.
